UI/UX Designer

Seeking a UI/UX Designer to elevate user experiences at Workiom with innovative design solutions.

A UI/UX Designer at Workiom would be responsible for enhancing user satisfaction by improving the usability, accessibility, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the user and the product. The job description typically involves a blend of technical, creative, and analytical tasks, and it could look something like this:

Job Overview:

As a UI/UX Designer at Workiom, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual and interactive user experience of our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, to create intuitive, user-friendly software applications.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Research and Insights

  • Conduct user research to understand the needs, wants, and behaviors of our users.
  • Analyze customer feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience.

Design Development:

  • Design the aesthetics to be implemented within a website or product, from the layout menus and dropdown options to colors and fonts.
  • Create storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes to propose options for implementation.

Collaboration and Feedback:

  • Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals, and experience.
  • Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.

Testing and Refinement:

  • Conduct user testing of applications, software, and websites.
  • Refine and revise products based on user feedback and data.

Documentation and Delivery:

  • Create clear and friendly user interfaces.
  • Produce high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
  • Design UI elements such as input controls, navigational components, and informational components.
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches, and tables).

Technical and Continuous Learning:

  • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends.
  • Understand product specifications and user psychology.
  • Contribute to the development of product timelines and project plans.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
  • Portfolio of design projects.
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g., Wireframe.cc and InVision) and graphics software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • BSc in Design, Computer Science, or relevant field.
